  Southside is a great convenience store that is worth stopping at in Hackensack. The gas pumps are a little crowded so you may end up waiting to get through if it is busy. Gas is usually the same price across Hackensack, so it isn't worth it to drive across town to another station for that reason. Southside offers a better selection of groceries but not the fishing gear of Swanson's across town. One major benefit of Southside is their movie rentals. This is the only nearby movie rental opportunity and they have a pretty good selection of recent releases. It is worth picking one up on the way into town for the weekend in case you hit a rainy day. Southside does offer air to inflate your tires for free but you may need to ask them to pull the hose outside, especially in the winter.
